Eufree 2023 award-winning work / 有フリゲ2023受賞作

My name is Kyua and I run a Eufree.
I usually write articles about free games and indie games on my personal website.
In addition to that, I’m also involved in activities related to free game culture.

Last year, we successfully reached our goal on CAMPFIRE, a Japanese crowdfunding site.
We were then able to hold our first memorable contest, Eufree 2023.

This year, the second edition, we will conduct a conducting on Ko-fi as an overseas approach.

有フリゲを運営しているKyuaと申します。
普段は個人サイトでフリーゲームやインディゲームの記事を執筆しています。
その傍らでフリーゲーム文化に関する活動もしています。

昨年は日本のクラファンサイト、CAMPFIREで無事目標を達成しました。
そして記念すべき第一回目のコンテスト、有フリゲ2023を開催することができました。

第二回目となる今年は、海外へのアプローチとして、Ko-fiでクラファンを実施します。

In recent years, however, changing values have led to a rapid shift to fee-based.
It was in the midst of these changing times that eufree was born.

Eufree is a tag and community that indicates “free game culture connected to paid”.
Average characteristics tend to include “dark story, exploration, anime”.

以前はフリーゲームといえば完全無料が当たり前でした。
それが近年、価値観の変化によって有料化が急速に進んでいます。
そんな時代の変化の中で有フリゲが生まれました。

有フリゲは「有料と繋がったフリーゲーム文化」を示すタグやコミュニティです。
平均的な特徴として「暗い物語、探索、アニメ」を含む傾向があります。

Our goal is to make the free game culture more interesting.
To achieve this, we have four activities: tag, contest, translation, history.

Tags and contests are done to shape the free game culture.
As tag lists and contest results accumulate, stories and meanings will emerge from them.
When stories and meanings are born, they become part of the free game culture, and the community thrives.

Translation is a very important activity to involve foreign countries.
I believe that Japan is ahead of the times in terms of the zeitgeist of free game culture.
Translation is an effective means of communicating that sense of the times to the world.

History is both a commentary on free game culture and a philosophy of activity.
We received various questions and objections in the previous crowdfunding, and we have written this document to complement them as well.

活動目標はフリーゲーム文化をより面白くすることです。
そのために「タグ、コンテスト、翻訳、歴史」という4つの活動をしています。

タグやコンテストはフリーゲーム文化を形作るために行っています。
タグ一覧やコンテスト結果が蓄積されれば、そこから物語や意味が生まれます。
物語や意味が生まれれば、それがフリーゲーム文化となり、コミュニティは繁栄します。

翻訳は海外を巻き込むためにはとても重要な活動です。
フリーゲーム文化の時代感は日本が先を行っていると思っています。
その時代感を世界に発信するために翻訳は有効な手段です。

歴史はフリーゲーム文化の解説であると同時に、活動理念でもあります。
前回のクラファンで様々な疑問や反論を頂き、それらの補完も兼ねて執筆しました。

Crowdfunding will use an all-in approach and will execute the plan even if the target amount isn’t reached.

One difference from the previous version is that the second prize has been changed to a translation and the translation fee has been added.
However, since it is difficult to translate all the winning entries, the games to be translated will be determined at the discretion of the management.

クラファンはAll-in方式で実施し、目標金額に満たない場合でも計画を実行します。

前回と異なる点として、副賞を翻訳に変更し、翻訳費を追加しました。
ただし全受賞作の翻訳は難しいため、翻訳するゲームは運営の判断で決定します。
